So here I am again. Having fallen off the wagon once again, I'm starting from square one. All those "cleanses" and pill regimens and whatnot.. well, they work. But not for long. My problem is that when I decide I'm ready to lose weight - I want it right away! But alas the calories go on so easily but are so difficult to take off. The only thing that works: eat less, move more. Period. So, my latest to aid this principle is the much hyped "miracle" berry - or miracle fruit.

Diet Pills: To Pop or Not to Pop
Published by Mary at 6:06 PM
Let me start by saying this: I do not endorse popping pills as a solution to weightloss. The fact is, there is no easy way to do it. Good old fashion eat less, move more is really the only longterm way... BUT, a little help is used sometimes - in pill form.

Recognition!
Published by Mary at 2:03 PM
Any dieter knows that one of the sweetest forms of validation is that the casual remarks about the change in your appearance. I got one today! "Oh, you've lost weight," said a female coworker - who then asked me for tips. It's even more significant that the notice came from someone that sees me everyday, as it's usually harder to detect differences in persons you see often.

The Master Cleanse
Published by Mary at 5:13 PM
I'm on day 5 of a 10-day master cleanse program. I just woke up one day and decided to start. It was probably the way to go, because if I'd planned it ahead of time I probably would have indulged quite a bit before I started. Instead, I'd been on a fairly lean diet already. Not sure if it made it easier or hard.

This is Me: Week 3
Published by Mary at 10:34 AM
Okay, let's just be realistic. A daily blogger, I am certainly not. But I will keep to at least posting my weekly photo updates. Happily, this week I actually DO see a difference! Do you agree? (Click to see what I looked like two weeks ago).

This is me: Week 2
Published by Mary at 2:27 PM
Alright, so I haven't been so good about the whole daily journal deal here. And, in fact, my lack of posting reflects my lax approach to the while size 6 quest deal. I mean, I did work out here and there, and made some decent food choices. But overall, I wasn't serious, and the (non)results are apparent. Still, I'll post my weekly pics, just for consistency. Notice any difference? Even just an ounce?... me neither =(

Is There Such a Thing as Diet Inertia?
Published by Mary at 9:07 PM
When you've been inactive for a while, the hardest part of exercising again is just starting. If you tried to get me to start a running program, I might seriously consider just getting used to my rolls and replacing all size 6s with size 10 dress. LUCKILY, there are plenty of other options. One of these is dance and, happily, I've always been able to dive right in to this activity.

This is Me
Published by Mary at 10:38 PM
This is me.
And so is this.
And, yep, this too.
But, no, I'm not blogging these photos into the eUniverse because I'm proud of those charming ripples in my back. Quite the opposite= I'm mortified!
Why, then, have I posted them? Simply this: I want public record (and the corresponding accountability) of my quest to regain my size 6 figure.
